The mission of the Adult Learning Center is to provide services to help adults increase knowledge and improve skills that are essential in today's changing world. The Adult Learning Center is a grant-funded program through the ND Department of Public Instruction.

Requirements and Services Include:
GED Preparation, Not enrolled in an educational institution, Study Skills, Need a GED, College Preparation
Need to learn English Language, Job Readiness Skills
People who need to prepare for the GED tests are encouraged to come to the Adult Learning Center for instruction. For more information please call the Adult Learning Center or stop at the Adult Learning Center!
English Language Learning (ELL)
People who want to learn English as a foreign language may sign up to take the ELL classes. ELL classes are held as a group throughout the week. Different level classes in Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening are held along with learning Idioms! Please call the Adult Learning Center for more information. The classes are definitely "The Cat's Meow"!
The Adult Learning Center will help students prepare for the COMPASS test and students will be introduced to Williston State College staff for enrollment and to answer any college questions . Each student will be given a campus tour so he/she is prepared for enrolling at WSC.
Job Readiness Skills:
The Adult Learning Center will help students keep an personal data list of activities, awards, past employment, and more. This information will be used in targeted resumes. The students will learn how to research the company where he/she may get a job interview, also prepare an application, prepare cover letters, targeted resumes, prepare answers for interview questions, thank you letters and follow-up phone calls.
