Located in the Western Star Career and Technology Center, the Williston Motor Vehicle Department is proud to support your vehicle titling and licensing needs. Our knowledgeable, pleasant staff is able to title out of state vehicles, handle North Dakota title transfers, and register on and off highway land vehicles.

The Motor Vehicle Department is open from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Thursday and 8 am to 12 pm on Friday. We are closed Saturday and Sunday as well as Fourth of July, Veteran's Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day.

Licensed dealers and large companies titling more than three vehicles at one time can make arrangements to leave their paperwork to be processed and will be notified upon its completion. Please call or email to make arrangements.

Williston Motor Vehicle now accepts Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express and any other credit or debit cards. We do assess a transaction fee on all credit and debit card transactions.

1. Head North on Main St. toward 1st St. E

2. Take a right onto East Broadway

3. Turn left onto University Ave.

4. Turn right on 18th St. E

5. Turn right 8th Ave. E.

6. Go through the Trailer Court and take left to go around the Crighton Building

7. The DMV is located in the NEW Western Star building
