Financial Aid History

Financial Aid

Williston State College administers student financial aid in accordance with U.S. Department of Education policies and procedures.

For the 2009-2010 academic year to date (as of 3/22/2010), just over $3.5 million of financial assistance has been awarded to WSC students.  Of this amount, $2.8 million (80%) was awarded from federal programs; with the remaining coming from College funds, from the State of North Dakota programs, and from the WSC Foundation.

For the 2009-2010 academic year, 65% of all degree-seeking students were awarded and accepted some type of financial aid.  When including dual credit students, all of whom receive scholarships, in this calculation, the percentage of students receiving some kind of financial assistance rises to 72%.

The following table summarizes the history of financial aid (rounded to the nearest $1,000) provided to WSC students for the last five years.
