Williston, ND - Teton Softball wrapped up their first ever recruiting class on Sunday with one of Montana's best. Anna Morgan from Helena Capital High School in Helena, MT has committed to play for Williston State for the 2012-2013 season. Morgan is the 18th player who has committed to play for the Tetons for their first ever softball season.

Morgan was a four-year starter at Helena Capital High School while finishing her career with a .468 batting average and a .945 fielding percentage. Over her four years she set school records in home runs and RBIs. As a senior she was a Super State selection at 3rd base. Morgan is a two-time First Team All-State selection, a two-time First Team All-Western Conference selection, Team MVP as a junior and senior, and led her team as a junior and senior to a Western Conference Championship. As a freshmen starting on Varsity she guided her team to a Western Conference Championship and also the AA State Championship.

Morgan worked closely with the Helena Girls Softball Association as an umpire and youth coach while also working with the Special Olympics as a coach. She is very active as a volunteer in the community and also earned the DECA Gold Award in 2012.

"Anna's accolades speak for themself," said Head Coach Eric Peterson. "We are extremely fortunate to sign Anna this late in the summer. We had one scholarship left and I didn't want to give it out unless we found the right fit. We needed another huge bat and Anna is exactly what we were looking for."

Williston State College will begin their first year with Softball during the 2012-2013 academic year. WSC will compete at the NJCAA Division II level and is part of the Mon-Dak Conference.
