Maynard named as new Diesel Instructor at Williston State College
WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston State College has recently appointed Dale Maynard as the Coordinator and Instructor for the Diesel Technology program. Job duties for this position will include teaching and recruiting for the Diesel Technology program as well as assisting with the curriculum of the Automotive Technology program.
Maynard comes to Williston from Florence, South Carolina where he was the lead Automotive/Diesel Instructor for Florence Darlington Technical College. He is also a certified CAT instructor with the ability to teach both the training and credit side of the industry.
Coming highly recommended both professionally and personally, Maynard's knowledge includes 29 years of both industry and teaching experience, an understanding of the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF), and has the ability to connect his knowledge with computer skills. He will be using CDX Automotive, which is an online interactive automotive program that will enhance students learning experience.
Maynard's goal is to build a comfortable yet challenging atmosphere for his students, "I hope to create a learning environment where the student will know the realities of what they are learning. They need to know both the theory and the knowledge behind how things work. I want there to be teamwork, challenges, and enthusiasm in the classroom."
