WILLISTON, N.D. - Former Teton right-handed pitcher Cody Pope was drafted last week in the Major League baseball's first year player draft.  Pope was taken by the los Angles Angels in 29th round 885th pick overall. Pope came to the Tetons out of high school from Kingman, AZ in 2011.

Pope played his freshman and sophomore years with the Tetons before transferring to Eastern New Mexico University to finish his career. Coach Cote commented on Cody "This is a great accomplishment for Cody, he has a tremendous work ethic and was a great teammate as well as being a tremendous player for the Tetons. He has worked very hard for this opportunity and I am just glad to have had the opportunity to coach Cody for two years."

Pope is not sure where he will end up starting his professional career but thinks it might be in Orem, UT for the rookie ball team Orem Owlz of the Pioneer league.
