Summer 2021

If you are anticipating Federal student loans for 2021 summer term, you must follow these steps and guidelines:

  1. Complete the Summer Financial Aid Application. Deadline is Friday, June 18th.

  2. 2020-2021 FAFSA is required to determine financial aid eligibility for the 2021 Summer semester.

  3. You must be fully admitted as a degree-seeking student at WSC

  4. You must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits in order to be eligible for Federal Direct Subsidized/Unsubsidized loans.

    1. Notify us if the classes you enrolled in change after your application has been submitted. Your summer offer may be adjusted.

    2. If you were enrolled fulltime for fall and spring, a student must be enrolled in a minimum 6 credits to be eligible for a Pell grant.

  5. There are two ways to submit your application.

    1. Bring into Financial Aid Office, which is located in Stevens Hall, Student Services.

    2. Email form to using your WSC student email ONLY!

  6. Summer financial aid offer will be issued to your campus email within 1-2 weeks after your Summer Financial Aid Application is submitted.

    1. Summer aid may be delayed if you are not enrolled, are not enrolled in the number of credits or courses listed on your summer aid application, or if we need additional information from you. Be sure to check your WSC email account regularly.

    2. Summer aid offer is based on the assumption that you will successfully complete all of your spring courses. 

  7. Charges will be posted to student Campus Connection accounts beginning May 3rd. Tuition and fees are due Wednesday, June 9th. To view your charges, log into Campus Connection: Student Homepage > Financial Account > Account Summary.

All grants are automatically accepted for students! There are no internal scholarships available for summer.

**IMPORTANT!! If your summer plans change after you have registered for summer courses and you choose not to attend the summer semester, you must complete the
Student Withdrawal to Zero Credits Form. A student cannot withdrawal to zero credits through Campus Connection.
