WILLISTON, N.D. - Williston's Community and WSC Alumni are encouraged to attend the WSC Foundation's first annual Alumni week, April 24 through 28.
Since joining the foundation in July, Hunter Berg, WSC Foundation's Alumni and Athletic Development Director, has wanted to host an alumni event to re-establish the Alumni Association.
"We had different ideas of what we could do but decided on a week of events and celebration rather than a single event," stated Berg. "Alumni Week will likely change and evolve, but our hope is that it becomes a fun week that is part of the Williston community each year."
The week begins with Teton Trivia on Monday, April 24. Cherry Creek Media (660 KEYZ, 95.1 & 96.1) will broadcast trivia questions on air throughout the day. Winners will receive $20 gift certificates to the WSC Bookstore. A separate trivia contest will be featured on the WSC's Foundation and Alumni Association Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/wscfaa/), where the winner will win a $50 gift WSC Bookstore certificate. Trivia questions will be related to WSC and UND-Williston's history.
On Tuesday, April 25, current and former WSC faculty and staff are welcome to attend a social in the WSC Cafeteria at 3:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, April 26, the Williston community is invited to attend a Community BBQ from 11:30 until 1:30 in the front entrance of WSC. Hamburgers, chips, cookie and a drink are available in a drive thru or picnic style for a free-will donation. WellPro, Morning Lions, Rotary, and MDU have volunteered their time to grill and serve.
To conclude the week, WSC Foundation will host its first annual Lucky Duck Races, Friday April 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the ARC's Lazy River. Community members can purchase ducks to race in three categories: business, adult, and kids.

2nd: $500 in WSC Bookstore gift certificates
3rd: $300 in WSC Bookstore gift certificates

"We'll also organize other Alumni Association events throughout the year but this year's Alumni Week is a kick-off for the Association," explained Berg.
